Our Philosophy:
“Grass Fed – Quality Bred”
We believe in functional cattle that perform out in the paddock year in, year out.
Our cattle are continually being assessed both visually and physically for performance, confirmation and fertility. Anything that does not come up to our high standards is instantly removed from the breeding herd.
Coodardie Brahmans are genetically quiet. Stress-free stock handling and management ensures that they remain this way.
In doing so we have studied the masters: the late Mr Lionel DeLandiel, Cherokee Brahman Stud; Professor Bonsmar; Peter Chillcott, Supergene; Jim Lents, Line Breeding; and Gerald Fry, Linear Measurement, amongst others. We have studied our cattle and their performance under harsh northern conditions. We have learnt from our mistakes.
Whilst breeding the perfect animal is always a work in progress, we are confident that through holistic selection on a maternal, flat boned and functional animal high in Zebu purity that we can confidently offer our customers a product that consistently performs in the north.
